To apply, please complete our online registration form, attaching the following three documents in PDF or Word format:

1. A detailed CV of no more than three pages of A4, including details of positions held and dates (including achievements relevant to a Board position).

2. A supporting statement answering the three questions below (300 words per question), please name the document ‘Supporting statement’ and your name:

2.1 Please outline your motivation for applying to join Guernsey Housing Association as a Board Member. What about this appointment resonates with you personally and professionally?

2.2 Our values are ‘Respect, Compassion, Integrity, Fairness and Professionalism’. With reference to at least two of these values, please tell us how you have embraced them in your life and career to make a difference.

2.3 Please demonstrate which experience, skills and knowledge outlined in the person specification you will bring to this role that will help advance our mission (max 600 words)?

3. References – Please provide full contact details (name, phone, and email) for two referees (including your current employer, if applicable). Please upload these separately from your CV and note that we will not take up references without your permission.

Board meetings

We set our board meeting dates for the year in July. Board Meetings are held on a quarterly basis, usually a Thursday afternoon, with one additional meeting in the calendar which is focused solely on reviewing and stress testing the business plan’. Our meetings are face-to-face and held at our offices – First Floor, Newlands, House, Lowlands Trading Estate, Braye Road, Vale, GY3 5XJ.
