Welcome

I am delighted you’re considering joining Fairhive as a board member.

Thank you.

As a leading provider of social and affordable homes in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas, we are proud of our achievements and our commitment to our residents. We have created this microsite to give you a sense of who we are, what we have achieved so far, and what our plans are for the future.

This is an exciting time for us. I joined the organisation as Chair of the Board in September 2025 to take forward a newly adopted Corporate Strategy that reinforces our commitment to Resident Voice, Housing Quality, Development and Growth, the Environment, and Employee Engagement, both now and in the future. By embracing new and innovative ideas, we are shaping the direction of the business and responding to the challenges that we face, particularly in reducing our environmental impact and improving our sustainability. We are also actively exploring opportunities for growth following the government’s recent announcement at the end of January 2026, ‘Delivering a decade of renewal for social and affordable housing’. This represents a significant opportunity, and we are well placed and resourced to thrive in this environment.

To deliver on our ambitions, we need colleagues around the Board table willing to support and challenge how we execute our plans. From my perspective, working as part of the Fairhive team is extremely enjoyable. You will be working alongside committed, imaginative, and knowledgeable colleagues, all sharing a determination to improve the lives of our residents and the communities where they live.

As part of our succession plan with a clear focus on the future, we are seeking to appoint up to four board members, including Chair of Development and Assets Committee, to join the Board of Fairhive in May and September 2026.

This microsite tells you more about us, our achievements through the hard work of our dedicated and talented people, stakeholders, and partners, but most importantly, the specific skills we require to take our next steps. If you feel you have these skills, I would encourage you to apply, as an exciting journey lies ahead.
