Role Title: Non-Executive Board Member

Responsible to: Board Chair

Remuneration: £5,000 p.a.

Meeting Location: Stennack House, Stennack Road, St Austell, PL25 3SW

Strategic Board Day: 29th April, we hope all newly appointed board members can attend the day.

Board/Committee Members will be required to attend up to approximately 12 meetings per board/committee per year (this includes Board/Committee Meetings and Board Events, but does not include time for training/site visits or additional meetings). 75% board attendance is required each year.
Board events usually take place on a Wednesday morning from 9.30 am; Board & Committee Meetings on Wednesday afternoons at 4.00 pm. Members who are also on a committee will be required to attend approximately 16 meetings.
Meeting length is usually 2.5 hours.
We have a hybrid (a mix of in-person & virtual) approach to Board meeting attendance and use meeting technology via Microsoft Teams, and board papers are all online via Decision Time (our Board Pack software system).
In addition to the Board or Committee Meetings, of which you are a member, there are also Joint Board Meetings, which are when the Board/Committee members from all Boards and Committees join together for business planning or training activities. Some Joint Board Meetings also include members of our Together With Ocean (TWO) Resident Panel.
