Time commitment

The Board meets five times a year, usually on a Tuesday morning, with one or two additional away days. Meetings and away days are predominantly held in person. In addition to Board meetings, the successful candidate will also join the Audit and Risk Committee, which meets four times a year, typically on a Tuesday morning.

All meetings are held face to face at our offices in Kingsley and are usually held on a Tuesday morning (9.30 or 10 am start).

Connecting you with customers

We encourage our Board Members to connect directly with our customers through our ‘Seeing is Believing’ programme. This initiative offers a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the lived experiences of our customers and the communities we serve. By participating, you’ll be better equipped to help us improve the delivery of our services.

Training and development

We also recognise the importance of equipping and developing our Board Members to fulfil their roles effectively. To this end, we have recently launched an updated training programme. This initiative aims to strengthen the Board at both an individual and collective level through a series of internally and externally facilitated engagements.

Non-Executive Director remuneration

You’ll receive remuneration of £6,300 pa for this role, plus expenses.
